Kernels of crimson (from a $3.99~$14.99 clear plastic bag or jar) are made perfect in a heated 5-quarts stock pot with a quarter inch of smoldering layer of Pompeian extra virgin olive oil layered by a heaping tablespoon of Orrington vegan broth base, demerara sugar, Morton kosher salt, and a fresh crack of peppercorns medley.
